Job summary

Eurofins Environmental Testing Southwest is seeking a Laboratory Technician I in Tustin, CA. The candidate will weigh, digest, and prepare soil and water samples for IC and HPLC analysis, ensuring adherence to QA programs.

The ideal applicant has a high school diploma, chemistry coursework, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 10:00am–7:00pm, with overtime as needed and a pay range of $18–$22 per hour, plus comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate backlog and prioritize daily workload based on required due dates and holding times.
• Retrieve samples from sample storage for digestion and preparation.
• Weigh and measure sample aliquots for digestion and preparation.
• Document required sample preparation details and observations.
• Prepare reagents and standards for daily use.
• Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with the laboratory quality assurance program.
• Perform daily duties while adhering to the environmental health and safety policies.
• Wash laboratory glassware as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
• Actively communicate with department manager, analytical team and project managers about job status, rush ETA, sample matrix issues, holding time etc.
• Assist other areas of the laboratory as needed
