Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician in the Dallas area to perform routine analytical testing, enter data into the eLIMS system, and ensure turnaround time goals are met. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a dynamic, quality-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an AS/BS in Microbiology or related field, with experience in plating and sample prep, and strong communication skills to support cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• AS or BS degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Team spirit and positive attitude essential.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Reads, understands and follows management system requirements and ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC requirements.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records for quality control or regulatory purposes.
• Enter sample data into Eurofins eLIMS in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete laboratory testing on incoming samples efficiently and accurately; meet turnaround time goals.
• Verify results and submit to appropriate personnel for transmission.
• Identify process difficulties and report with proposed solutions to supervisor.
• Maintain readiness to respond to queries from clients and co-workers.
• Communicate effectively with all employees and promote ethical business practices.
• Continually improve the quality of work with existing and new technologies.
• Identify non-conformances and out-of-specifications.
• Conduct activities safely and efficiently; perform other duties as assigned.
