Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field technician to perform field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related construction materials in the Sulphur, LA area. You will collect samples, document results, and coordinate with project teams to ensure testing is completed accurately and safely.

This role requires a high school diploma, at least 6 months of experience, and a valid driver's license. ACI certification within 90 days and Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience required.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.
• ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
• Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials.
• Transport samples and document data for laboratory testing and analysis.
• Prepare and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas; assist with scheduling and dispatch as needed.
• Adhere to strict safety standards and quality requirements on all projects.
