Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician I (Chemistry) in Cinnaminson, NJ. You will prepare samples for analysis and support laboratory analysts. No prior lab experience required; on-the-job training provided.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., with benefits including medical, dental, 401(k), and PTO. Candidate should be meticulous, able to multitask, and work well in a team while handling common lab reagents safely.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis across multiple matrices (air, dust, food, soil, water).
• Operate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instruments.
• Perform pipetting, volumetric measurements, and use analytical balances.
• Follow SOPs and QC procedures to ensure data quality.

EMSL is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician I (Chemistry) in Cinnaminson, NJ. The technician supports the laboratory analysts by preparing samples for analysis. No laboratory experience is required, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory practices and procedures. On-the-job training will be provided for all new employees.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Perform a variety of sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantitatively measure chemical and physical properties in a variety of matrices: air, dust, food, soil, solid, and/or waterOperate and maintain basic analytical equipment and instrumentsAble to perform basic chemistry tasks such as pipetting, volumetric measurements and the utilization of analytical balancesPerform basic calculations and conversions, and compile the data obtainedBe comfortable in a laboratory setting involving the handling of common laboratory reagents, such as acids, bases, and organic solventsPerform all chemical handling safely following laboratory proceduresUnderstand and adhere to standard operating procedures and quality control procedures established for each analytical methodRequirements:Must have a High School Diploma or GEDAbility to work in a fast-paced setting, be able to multi-task and prioritize assignmentsWork independently and with a teamConcise, organized, and meticulous regarding work assignmentsKnowledge of basic computer skills such Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is requiredAvailable Shift:Position is full time, Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cinnaminson, NJ are encouraged to applyEMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.
