Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Laboratory Technician I for a Tuesday–Saturday shift, 2:00pm–10:30pm. You will perform and document laboratory tests on incoming samples, register data in the eLIMS system, and ensure turnaround goals are met while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications include a HS Diploma (BA preferred) and US work authorization. AS/BS in Microbiology or related field is a plus; benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability,

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required.
• BA degree recommended but not required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• AS or BS Degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a related field; plating, plate reading and sample preparation experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Reads, understands and follows management system requirements to ensure ISO/IEC 17025/AOAC ALACC compliance.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records for quality control purposes.
• Enter sample data into the eLIMS system timely and accurately.
• Complete laboratory testing on all incoming samples efficiently and accurately.
• Verify results and submit to appropriate personnel for transmission.
• Identify process difficulties and report with proposed solutions to supervisor.
• Maintain readiness to respond to client and internal inquiries; communicate effectively.
