General Responsibilities:
- Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
- Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client and contractor representatives regarding site, project, testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
- Transport material samples with documentation to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
- Adhere to strict safety standards.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic testing and observations under supervision.
- Document findings clearly and accurately.
- Communicate results to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy.
- Submit documentation and communicate results as directed.
- Progressively increase responsibilities through training.
- Maintain assigned equipment.
- Follow safety rules, perform pre-task planning, and report safety issues.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience.
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Complete safety certifications.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
- Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
