General Responsibilities:
  • Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials (e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel).
  • Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client and contractor representatives regarding site, project, testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
  • Transport material samples with documentation to the laboratory for testing and analysis.
  • Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observations in reports for daily transmittal to the Project Manager.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
  • Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with basic testing and observations under supervision.
  • Document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Communicate results to the Project Manager and discuss data accuracy.
  • Submit documentation and communicate results as directed.
  • Progressively increase responsibilities through training.
  • Maintain assigned equipment.
  • Follow safety rules, perform pre-task planning, and report safety issues.
  • Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience.
  • Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Complete safety certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Preferred Certification:
  • Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
