Qualifications

• Strong communication and writing skills; ability to multi-task; computer skills including Office and instrumentation software.
• Ability to read and interpret general business documents and write routine reports.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and follow detailed procedures to solve routine problems.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inventory biological samples to be analyzed in the laboratory with limited supervision.
• Maintain storage of biological samples under appropriate conditions.
• Assist with sample handling, preparation, and verification of sample identity.
• Prepare laboratory reagents following written procedures.
• Keep equipment operating by following instructions, maintaining supplies and calling for repairs.
• Document laboratory activity per established procedures.
• Perform quality checks of scientific data per procedures.
• Generate and review Data Tables for reports.
• Verify data entries into computerized systems for accuracy.
