Job summary

Goldbelt Apex LLC seeks a Laboratory Technician to support the Defense Centers for Public Health – Aberdeen. The role involves preparing environmental, clinical, and industrial hygiene samples, analyzing them with spectrophotometric and chromatographic methods, and assisting with technical reports and presentations.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred lab certification and experience in a controlled lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental, clinical, and/or industrial hygiene samples for toxic contaminants using extraction, digestion, and wet-chemical techniques.
• Analyze samples using instrumental techniques, including spectrophotometric and chromatographic methods.
• Conduct literature searches to identify appropriate analytical methods and procedures.
• Modify or adapt instrumental techniques and procedures as needed.
• Perform calculations, record laboratory data, identify and report data-quality issues, and assist with technical reports, charts, tables, and presentations.
