Job summary

Jacam Chemical Company 2013, LLC is seeking a laboratory assistant to perform a broad range of chemical and physical analyses on petrol-fuels and chemicals. The role includes operating equipment to control chemical changes in processing, collecting data, and preparing reports.

The candidate should have an associate degree, at least two years of related experience, strong organizational skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

Essential Functions

• Work in laboratory environment wherein chemical odors may be encountered
• Performs assigned duties according to the current HSE laboratory safety standards
• Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations in performing assigned duties
• Collects data, documents test results, and assists in preparing reports
• Complete and analyze all samples accurately (water, solid, etc.)
• Perform and complete various technical projects in laboratory
• Inventory and order lab supplies as needed
• Follow written lab procedures manual and update manual if changes in procedures are made

• Computer Skills: Strong background in MS Office applications required.

• Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.

Work Environment

A laboratory environment in a controlled atmosphere building.
