Job summary

Jacam Catalyst LLC is seeking a hands-on laboratory technician to perform a wide range of analyses on petrol-fuels and chemicals. The role requires operating high-pressure, high-temperature lab equipment and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

You'll collect data, document results, and help prepare reports while collaborating with engineers and scientists. Prior oilfield exposure is preferred, and ability to lift heavy loads and perform demanding physical tasks is required.

Job description

Assist and perform a wide range of chemical and physical analyses on petrol-fuels and chemicals. Operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions generated by processing industrial or consumer products. This role requires strong hands-on laboratory expertise, adherence to safety and quality standards, and close collaboration with engineers and scientists.

Essential Functions

• Work in a laboratory environment that may contain chemical odors.
• Perform assigned duties according to the current HSE laboratory safety standards.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations while performing assigned duties.
• Collect data, document test results, and assist report preparation.
• Maintain, operate and calibrate high-pressure, high-temperature lab equipment.
• Perform material compatibility tests with various solvents and chemicals.
• Assist on sample preparation for failure analysis based on customer request.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Mechanical instruments, heavy lifting
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
• 3-4years of oilfield experience preferred

• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
• Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
