Description

Laboratory Technician General Job Purpose

Responsible for processing and preparing samples for analysis and providing support to Advanced Pain Care's laboratory scientists.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following functions:

  • Performs sample receiving and accessioning
  • Operation of a moderate complexity chemistry analyzer, including running calibrations, QC, and samples
  • Preparation of samples for analysis on high complexity instrumentation
  • Provides support to APC’s laboratory analysts in other tasks related to the daily operations of performing toxicological analysis on human biological specimens

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, as well as collaboratively as part of a team

Environmental Conditions: Clinical Laboratory environment

Physical Conditions:

  • Must be able to work as scheduled
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment, etc.
