Include in this category persons employed for the primary purpose of performing academic support, student service, and institutional support activities, requiring college graduation or equivalent experience. Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Assisting with oyster and barnacle collection trips around Tampa Bay, including sample and data collection.
• Performing various lab duties such as:
• Conducting accelerated solvent extractions (ASE) for chemical analysis.
• Sample preparation: freezing, dehydrating biological samples, sterilizing collection jars, grinding samples, etc.
• Maintaining inventory of supplies.
• Documenting lab protocols and recording data.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented and task-focused.
• Comfortable on boats, in the sun, during Florida summers.
• Current student or recent graduate in biology, environmental science, marine science, or related fields.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

This position may require a Level 1 or Level 2 criminal background check.
