Job summary

Reczu in Indiana is seeking a Technical Services Laboratory Technician for a 6-month onsite assignment. The role involves performing TPA, pH, solids, water activity, and colorimeter testing to support product monitoring and technical studies, with samples prepared, instruments calibrated, and results documented.

Shift is Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Must have strong attention to detail, follow procedures, and clearly communicate testing status to the Technical Services team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Laboratory Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant laboratory experience may be considered.
• Experience performing routine laboratory testing and sample preparation.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform TPA, pH, solids, water activity, and colorimeter testing to support product monitoring.
• Prepare samples, calibrate instruments, and execute test methods.
• Document results and maintain laboratory readiness.
• Communicate testing status to the Technical Services team.
• Support ongoing studies like Extended Cure, Oiling, Weekly, and Bulk Hold studies.
• Maintain organized handling of aging time points.

Job description

DURATION - 6 MONTHS - ONSITE POSITION - SHIFT - MON-FRI 8AM- 5PM.

The Technical Services Laboratory Technician will perform TPA, pH, solids, water activity, and colorimeter testing to support product monitoring, technical studies, and data-driven decision making. The technician will prepare samples, calibrate instruments, execute test methods, document results, maintain laboratory readiness, and communicate testing status to the Technical Services team. Current (and ongoing additions weekly) Extended Cure Study, Oiling Study, Weekly Study, and Bulk Hold Study.

II. Specific Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• TPA includes calibration for position and force.


• pH Includes calibration.


• Solids Testing includes Brix standard reading.


• aW Testing includes standard reading.


• Colorimeter testing includes instrument calibration for white and black points.

III. Essential Skills and Experience:

Education & Experience: (Minimum required to perform job)
