As Laboratory Technician, you will conduct analytical testing on raw materials and finished products. Ensure the quality of the product range is controlled, maintained and appropriate documentation is updated, guarantee internal and external audit requirements.

About the role:
You will perform analyses and operations to agreed work plans and schedules. Produce and report on time only valid accurate analytical results. You will report immediately out-of-specification results, non-conformances or any aspects of laboratory operation which are prejudicial to the laboratory operation / service to the line manager.
Other duties will include:
Achieve / maintain desired level of competency in all defined operations.
Undertake operation to comply with world class operation practices.
Signatory for all personal analytical results, personal results, and preparations.
Health, Safety and Environment: Maintain and promote the highest standards of the Laboratory.
Operations: Responsible for conducting analyses on Finished product and Raw materials as per the work schedule, using only approved analytical methods.
Food Safety/Hygiene and Quality: Comply with findings of Laboratory quality, food safety or hygiene audits, whether internal or external and assist in the implementation of any corrective action.
Administration / Human resource / Training: Interpret and accurately record analytical data on appropriate forms, logs and/or database systems. Keep skills updated and ensure competency in all current and updated standard operating procedures in assigned work areas. Where requested/appropriate undertake to train other laboratory technicians and/or take part in appropriate skills training where necessary.
About you:
To be our successful Laboratory Technician you will need experience working in any of the following: food / chemical / pharmaceutical / manufacturing environment. You will need relevant experience in a similar role. Ability to deal with and rationalise many complex dependencies and issues, and present recommendations and options to meet business needs. You will have an analytical mind, methodical as well as effective communication and influencing skills.

The Laboratory Technician role is 12-month fixed term contract, working 8am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
