Job summary

Kelly is hiring a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients in Garland, TX. This is a first shift, on-site role with 5 openings and a pay rate of $21 per hour. The position may be temporary with potential for permanent placement.

The role involves cleaning and calibrating equipment, performing basic tests and calculations, and maintaining documentation. A high school diploma and basic math/computer skills are required, with lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Lab experience preferred; chemistry or educational lab background encouraged.
• Manufacturing experience not a fit for these roles.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, maintains and calibrates standard equipment and keeps a safe environment.
• Documents tasks and requests; seeks guidance from technicians or chemists as needed.
• Performs basic calculations to prepare, perform, and conclude samples.
• Performs basic tests and analyses per formulas and project needs.
• Prepares samples, materials, equipment for lab tests.
• Performs coating spray applications where required.

• Must be local to Garland/Richardson area
• Pay Rate: $21/hr
• First shift position, start time is flexible and can range between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM.
• This is potentially temp to perm, though there is no timeline for conversion at this point.
• Openings: 5

Must be available for onsite hiring event at the client site:

Wednesday, October 21, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Cleans, maintains and calibrates standard equipment and maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Completes appropriate forms and documentation regarding tasks and requests; receives direction from other technicians or chemists on specialized or complex issues.
• Performs basic calculations to prepare, perform, and conclude samples.
• Performs basic technical tests and analyses based on formulas and project requirements; tasks are more standard and require limited judgment within established guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Prepares basic samples, materials, equipment, and other required tools for laboratory tests or development.
• Performs coating spray application.

Qualifications

• Prior lab experience preferred and will take priority; chemistry or educational lab experience is acceptable.
• Manufacturing-only backgrounds are not a fit for these roles.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment (without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment work visa and/or permanent residence status).
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of basic math skills
• Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication, and data analysis
• Ability to learn software used in lab.
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner.
• Must pay attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and work with a team.
