Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $25.00/hr

CoFactor Recruitment is partnered with an exciting reagent production company in Davis, CA. We are looking for an entry level Biologist or chemist to join the team to help with reagent production and QC. This role is contract to hire with an estimated 4-6 months on contract before converting to full time employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce assigned reagent products following detailed protocols and production schedules
• Assist with quality control testing and release procedures
• Maintain and calibrate production equipment on a routine basis
• Communicate proactively about manufacturing and inventory issues
• Support general housekeeping, inventory cycle counts, and stock management
• Handle time-sensitive production tasks with flexibility and efficiency
• Participate in cross-training across manufacturing areas
• Adhere to safety procedures, company standards, and regulatory protocols
• Provide daily updates on production progress and inventory status
• May occasionally work during weekends or holidays as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology)
• Minimum of one year of hands-on laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting
• Proficiency in basic lab techniques such as buffer preparation, spectrophotometry, pH measurement, and related tasks
• Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping, and ability to follow written instructions
• Strong time management and multitasking skills in a production environment
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
• Comfortable working on the production floor for extended periods
• Able to lift 15–25 lbs regularly
• Competent in basic math, including unit conversions

Preferred (Not Required):

• Experience with mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, or enzyme assays
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
