Job summary

Freedom Metal Finishing, Inc. in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to assist the Chemist and Wastewater Operator with daily laboratory analysis, instrument calibration, and data entry.

You will help manage chemical inventories, handle waste treatment, and communicate with staff. A High School Diploma or equivalent and basic math skills are required; ability to lift 50 lbs and use computers is expected. This is a full-time on-site role with overtime as needed.

Job description

Summary:

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the Chemist and Wastewater Operator in day-to-day tasks. These tasks include chemical analysis of process solutions, calibration of instruments, inventory and ordering of chemicals, treatment of chemical waste, data entry of analysis results, and any other task as directed by the chemist or management.

• Assist the Wastewater Operator with wastewater operation as needed.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Mathematical ability to perform and/or understand the calculations.

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Basic Qualifications

Must have a clean background and a valid drivers license.

• This position is scheduled 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday-Friday, but OT, weekend work, are expected and required.
