Job summary

Eagle Analytical Services, Inc. seeks a Chemistry Lab Technician to assist the Chemistry team with daily laboratory operations and calibration verification, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and cGMP requirements.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean lab, managing inventory, disposing of waste, and supporting analysts across workstations while following SOPs. A Bachelor’s in Analytical Chemistry is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• Analytical laboratory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality control systems is a plus.
• Entry level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine daily calibration verification of equipment (balances, pH meter, conductivity meter) and keep logs up to date.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area.
• Complies with SOPs, ISO 17025, cGMPs, cGLPs, A2LA requirements, and Quality Control guidelines.
• Support analysts in all workstations and maintain glassware and inventory.

Job description

The Chemistry Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting the Chemistry team (Analysts and Management) on daily tasks related to the Laboratory functioning activities.

• Perform routine (daily) verification of the calibration of equipment/ instruments such as Analytical Balances, pH meter, Conductivity meter, and any other that requires it. Keep log records up to date.
• Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area.
• Complies with company policies and all applicable SOPs; complies with ISO 17025, cGMPs, cGLPs A2LA requirements and Quality Control Guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity on use of all applicable equipment, systems, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Provide assistance to all of the analysts in all workstations.
• Maintain all glassware clean and in the proper location for its use.
• Keep inventory of Standards, Reagents and materials received in the Lab.
• Keep and restock the Laboratory supplies as needed.
• Make disposal of Laboratory preparations/waste as needed.
• Make disposal of completed samples as needed.
• Assist with any other duties, special projects, as assigned.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related science field.
• Analytical laboratory experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of quality control systems is a plus.
• Entry level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus.
