Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Austin team. You will conduct tests, ensure calibrated equipment, and coordinate with Lab Managers and Project Coordinators to keep multiple projects on track.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree or equivalent, strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to work well in a diverse team with professional presentation.

Qualifications

• Four-year college Engineering degree or equivalent technical degree with relevant work experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a professional manner.
• Willingness to accept guidance and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Monitor multiple projects underway.
• Prepare test reports and related documents.
• Stay current with industry technical developments and disseminate to the team as necessary.
• Support lab managers and team leaders with assignments based on competency.
• Assist the Austin team with coordination of testing activities.
• Aid lab managers with tracking of team utilization and identifying potential issues.

Laboratory Technician Responsibilities

• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Monitors multiple projects underway.
• Prepare test reports and related documents.
• Keeps current with industry technical developments and disseminates to the team, as necessary.
• Support the laboratory managers and team leaders with assignments of new projects to technicians based on competency.
• Support the Austin team with coordination of testing activities.
• Support the laboratory managers with tracking of team utilization and identify potential issues (technical, procedural, and commercial).

Qualifications

• Four-year college Engineering degree, or other technical degree with relevant work experience

Reporting

This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager
