Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing analytical testing services across multiple industries. The Austin office seeks a Laboratory Technician to conduct tests per standards, maintain calibrated equipment, and support project coordination.

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires a four-year engineering or technical degree with strong teamwork and confidentiality. Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Four-year college Engineering degree, or other technical degree with relevant work experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentially.
• Able to work in a diverse group of people and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Monitors multiple projects underway.
• Prepare test reports and related documents.
• Keep current with industry technical developments and disseminate to the team as necessary.
• Support lab managers and team leaders with assignments of new projects based on competency.
• Support the Austin team with coordination of testing activities.
• Support lab managers with tracking of team utilisation and identify issues.

Laboratory Technician Responsibilities:

• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Monitors multiple projects underway.
• Prepare test reports and related documents.
• Keeps current with industry technical developments and disseminates to the team, as necessary.
• Support the laboratory managers and team leaders with assignments of new projects to technicians based on competency.
• Support the Austin team with coordination of testing activities.
• Support the laboratory managers with tracking of team utilisation and identify potential issues (technical, procedural, and commercial).

Qualifications
