The Lab Associate supports daily laboratory operations by maintaining a well-organized workspace, producing materials at both small and large scale, and ensuring the lab is fully stocked and operational. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, motivated individual who is comfortable working in a production-focused lab environment and eager to learn and help improve processes.
What You Will Do
- Support material production using techniques such as fractionation, filtration, adsorption, purification, and centrifugation
- Execute antibody production projects to generate catalog, bulk, and custom materials
- Accurately document production data and maintain complete records
- Ensure the laboratory is properly stocked with supplies and reagents
- Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment
- Follow and become proficient in all laboratory SOPs
- Cross-train with team members to support business continuity
- Complete additional tasks as needed to support departmental and organizational goals
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field preferred
- Prior experience in a laboratory environment using equipment such as centrifuges, pH meters, spectrophotometers, and/or electrophoresis systems preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision
- Comfortable handling blood products, hazardous chemicals, mammalian cells, and tissues
- Willingness to occasionally work overtime
- Comfortable working in a production-oriented laboratory setting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
