Position Summary
The Laboratory Technician-30210 performs laboratory tests according to prescribed standards to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid, or gaseous materials and substances for purposes such as quality control, process control, product development, or determining conformity to specifications. This role will also work with research and engineering personnel to facilitate laboratory operations.

Physical Requirements:
This position may require standing for extended periods of time. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to areas that require the use of personal protective equipment, such as protective suits, safety glasses with side shields, steel‑toed shoes, and mandatory hearing protection. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be required, up to 10% of the time. The travel may be local or national and may be by car, rail, or air.
