Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree or high school diploma.
• Minimum of five (5) years of job-related experience.
• Experience with equipment operation, maintenance, mechanical design, and installation.
• Experience with Swagelok-type stainless steel tubing installation, bending, component selection, or equivalent hydraulic/gas/plumbing/vacuum systems.
• Attention to detail, both written and verbal.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge across carpentry, plumbing, welding, and machining.
• Strong reading and math abilities.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Handling high-pressure cylinders and setup.
• Operate saws, drills, grinders, taps and dies, and other handheld tools.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and equipment breakdown lists.
• Maintain and service equipment per manufacturers' specifications.
• Inspect and troubleshoot R&D equipment and systems.
• Support research laboratory functions and experimental tests.
• Coordinate with procurement for replenishment stock.
• Be on call to support during unattended operations.
