Job summary

ChristianaCare Health System in the United States seeks a Laboratory Technical Specialist III to provide technical leadership across the General Laboratory team. You will guide instrumentation, troubleshooting, QA activities and staff competency, ensuring accurate, reliable laboratory operations across the system.

The role includes method validation, establishing procedures, and mentoring MLS staff, with emphasis on continuous improvement and collaboration with clinicians and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent.
  • MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification through an approved credentialing organization such as ASCLS, CLIS or AMT.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the area of expertise, including at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Subspecialty ASCP certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques, procedures, instrumentation and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems, communicate effectively with laboratory caregivers, leadership, physicians and other clinical partners.

Job Details

Schedule

Day Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. No weekends. No holidays.

Hourly Pay Range

Hourly Pay Range: $42.11 - $67.37 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
