ChristianaCare seeks Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join the General Laboratory team at Christiana Hospital, Newark, Delaware. Multiple schedules and full-time opportunities are available to fit your career and life, with options for evenings, days, and weekend rotations.

You will perform diagnostic testing, operate automated equipment, and ensure quality control to deliver timely results that guide patient care.

Qualifications

• MLS Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related field with clinical rotations.
• MLT Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques.
• Experience with automated laboratory equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple tests and priorities with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently.
• Operate and maintain automated laboratory instrumentation.
• Perform quality control and document corrective actions.
• Verify critical values, specimen identification and test results.
• Help ensure STAT and routine testing meets established turnaround times.

ChristianaCare is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join our General Laboratory team at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Multiple Schedules Available — Find the Right Fit for You

• Evening Shift: 2:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
• Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Full-Time Flex - Evening Shift: 2:30pm - 11:30pm
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation: 2–3 holidays per year required

Eligible evening and weekend hours receive additional shift differential pay. During the application process, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us which schedule you’re interested in considering.

What You’ll Do

As an MLS/MLT in our General Laboratory, you’ll provide accurate, timely laboratory results that clinicians rely on to make important patient-care decisions. You’ll:

Qualifications

• Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry or an equivalent bachelor’s degree that includes completion of required clinical laboratory rotations through an approved education program.
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Preferred: ASCP certification
• Knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and procedures
• Experience with automated laboratory equipment
• Ability to manage multiple tests and priorities with accuracy

Hourly Pay Range: $29.80 - $44.71

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
