Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced chemist to evaluate chemical and physical properties for consumer product testing. You will independently perform sample analysis, prepare and digest samples with or withoutInstrumentation according to SOPs, and act as a technical resource for chemists while leading the analytical team.

The role requires hands-on leadership, training of lab personnel, and ensuring QA and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have LNG experience.
• 7+ years of experience in a regulated commercial lab environment.
• 2+ years of protocol and report writing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of routine & non-routine testing methods.
• Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and similar disciplines.
• 3+ years of experience in the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the chemical and physical properties of various organic and inorganic substances for consumer product testing purposes.
• Independently conducts sample analysis of different complexity, preparation, extraction, and digestion with and without instrumentation following SOPs.
• Serves as a technical resource for Chemists.
• Leads the team in analytical techniques and analysis of data.
• Provide training to Laboratory personnel and monitor lab staff performance.
