Job summary

Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit Main Campus is seeking a Lab Support Associate to perform routine laboratory support duties under supervision, including order entry, specimen pickup, transport, and processing. Responsibilities

• Prepare patient specimens for laboratory testing with emphasis on preanalytic and post-analytic processes.
• Enter patient demographics, insurance, and test orders into computer systems and maintain confidentiality.
• Review laboratory request forms for complete information and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle specimen preparation, storage, and order entry to protect sample integrity.
• Maintain pre and post analytic laboratory equipment and automation systems as needed.
