Job summary

Avita Health System in Ontario, OH seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure CAP-compliant procedures, and drive quality improvement across the department.

You will supervise staff, coordinate training and scheduling, report quality trends to the Laboratory Director, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely test results in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology, or Associate Degree or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited college.
• Sufficient previous experience in all areas of the laboratory.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and the accrediting body regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain procedures, quality control and CQI in the Laboratory.
• Coordinate and supervise the general operations of the Laboratory, including training and scheduling.
• Report quality trends and inconsistencies to Laboratory Director.
• Supervise the performance of Laboratory staff in designated section under the Laboratory Director.
