Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead daily operations in the Lab-BUMCP section. You will supervise a skilled team and ensure high-quality, cost-effective services in a fast-paced diagnostic setting.

In this role you will hire, train, perform evaluations, and manage workflow and staff scheduling. You will work with leadership to address unusual situations and ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• Four (4) years' training and experience in high-complexity testing in the respective specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to 10 to 40 technical staff.
• Hire, train, conducts performance evaluations, and supervise the workflow for staff; initiate promotions, transfers and performance management actions.
• Ensure department expenditures are in line with annual budget requirements; oversee work schedule and daily activities of department staff.
• Supervisory responsibility of providing quality, timely, reliable and consistent services; coordinate with director/manager for unusual situations.
