Job summary

Patient First seeks a Laboratory Technologist/Technician to supervise lab personnel, ensure quality standards, and maintain regulatory compliance. The role focuses on reporting issues, conducting proficiency testing, and supporting patient care teams.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience, a high school diploma, and relevant lab science degrees. The position may involve on-site duties across Patient First centers in NJ and nearby regions.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Minimum typing experience is required.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Maryland or Virginia incumbents must hold an associate degree in lab science or medical lab tech and two years of training/experience; or a bachelor’s degree in related science and one year of experience.
• Must have knowledge of Medical Technology principles and lab instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all lab personnel to ensure quality and compliance.
• Ensure remedial actions when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Assist Physicians and Nurses with patient care and triage.
