Job summary

Piedmont Medical Network - Rock Hill Hospital is seeking an experienced laboratory leader to oversee operations and workflow in the clinical laboratory. The role focuses on developing protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding staff to deliver accurate testing of blood, body fluids, and tissues.

The candidate will supervise personnel, maintain equipment and inventory, and participate in staff training and competency assessments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent.
• Experience: 5+ years in the field.
• Licensure/Certification: Registered with ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent; CLIA General Supervisor.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operations and workflow within the laboratory department.
• Develops procedural protocols and ensures adherence to policies.
• Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to staff.
• Performs, reviews, and evaluates technical procedures in lab subsections.
• Receives, processes, and distributes specimens appropriately and timely.
• Ensures competency training and maintains equipment and supply inventory.
