Job summary

The Laboratory Supervisor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center oversees clinical laboratory and laboratory support functions within the VIPMS laboratories. Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of one or more laboratories and/or functions to effect unity of operation within all VIPMS laboratories.
• Oversee compliance with CLIA regulations and manage site inspections.
• Ensure routine CAP testing is performed appropriately and review results with staff at each location.
• Maintain interfaces with health record systems and outside lab vendors and equipment.
• Collaborate with Health Record Systems Manager to integrate CLIA/OSHA requirements into the electronic health record.
