Pay Range: $75,400.00- $113,100.00/ year (posted pay range is based on a 1.0 FTE)
At UW Health in northern Illinois, you will have :
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervises technical and clerical support staff in assigned area of responsibility. Oversees technical, operational, financial, and educational functions of department ensuring quality care and cost effectiveness. Assists Manager in the implementation of department and institutional strategic goals. Oversees continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required. ASCP categorical certification for the department of responsibility or current MLT certification with MLS certification within 6 months is acceptable. Four years of experience after certification required. Certification must be maintained by submitting appropriate continuing education documentation to certifying agency.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES :
Demonstrated leadership skills. Excellent communication, organization and critical decision-making skills required. Good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization and community. Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.
