Position Overview

LabCorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our Microbiology department in Portland, OR. This leadership role involves overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely test results, supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with regulations. The position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment aligned with our mission: "Improving Health, Improving Lives".

Schedule & Location

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00PM-12:30AM

Location: 4400 NE Halsey Street, Portland, OR 97213

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Microbiology laboratory
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of test results
• Train, mentor, and supervise laboratory personnel
• Monitor workflow and schedule staff accordingly
• Maintain equipment and quality assurance records
• Implement process improvements and ensure regulatory compliance
• Conduct staff coaching and perform technical bench work as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related Science field
• At least 5 years of Microbiology laboratory experience
• ASCP certification is mandatory
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulations
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
