An established industry player is seeking a skilled Laboratory Specialist to design and execute complex experiments. This role involves performing molecular and tissue-based assays, managing lab safety, and overseeing budgets. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science and at least three years of relevant experience. Design and execute experiments independently. Perform highly complex molecular and tissue-based assays. Facilitate collaborations with other labs that benefit our research. Monitor interactions with suppliers and negotiate discounts for the lab. Oversee lab safety inspections, manage lab ordering, and reconcile budgets.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Experience: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field plus 3 years of experience as a Laboratory Specialist or in a related occupation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position may require extensive periods of standing and squatting during experiments or animal care. Also involves keyboarding, bench work, and animal procedures requiring fine finger manipulation.
