Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Laboratory Specialist to support laboratory operations in the new production area. You will perform routing testing, monitor processes, collect data, and analyze results to support quality and continuous improvement.

The role requires an Associate degree in a scientific field, 3+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency in data handling and Excel. On-site Cayey, PR position with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

Associate degree in chemistry, biology, industrial technology, engineering, or related field.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline preferred.
Experience minimum of 3 years in laboratory, quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis per established procedures and specifications.
Collect samples from production processes and conduct evaluations and inspections.
Monitor product quality and process performance in the new production area.
Record results and maintain laboratory documentation with accuracy.
Support data entry and maintain electronic and manual lab records.
Compile and analyze data for trend reporting and improvement.
Assist in investigating quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
Prepare reports, charts, and summaries of findings and production performance.
Support validation activities, product trials, and process improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and lab procedures.

Job description

The Laboratory Specialist is responsible for supporting laboratory operations within the new production area by performing routing testing, monitoring, production processes, collecting and analyzing data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing and analysis according to established procedures and specifications
. Collect samples from production processes and conduct required evaluations and inspections.
Monitor product quality and process performance within the new production area.
Conduct routine observations of manufacturing operations to identify quality trends and process deviations.
Record laboratory test results accurately and maintain laboratory documentation.
Perform data entry and maintain electronic and manual laboratory records.
Compile, organize, and analyze laboratory and production data for trend analysis and reporting purposes.
Assist in investigating quality issues, non conformances, and customer complaints.
Prepare reports, charts, and summaries of laboratory findings and production performance.
Support validation activities, product trials, and process improvement projects.
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and laboratory procedures.

Education

Associate's degree in chemistry, Biology, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related scientific field required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

Full-time, on-site position.
Exposure to manufacturing and laboratory environments.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Occasional schedule flexibility may be required to support production needs.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
