Job summary

Regions HealthPartners is seeking a Laboratory Assistant I to support the Lab Services team with specimen collection and processing, ECG tracing, and general lab duties. The role includes patient interaction at the reception and coordination of scheduling and billing tasks.

The ideal candidate has basic phlebotomy skills and comfort using hospital computer systems, with attention to detail and strong communication across medical staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience with specimen collection and phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of laboratory services including specimen collection and phlebotomy.
• Assist with client service and reception duties.
• Handle ordering, scheduling and billing functions within the lab.
• Conduct laboratory testing and processing of specimens.
• Dispatch, centrifuge and deliver specimens to appropriate lab/department.
• Assist with ECG tracings and accuracy of results.
