Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required.
• Experience in phlebotomy is required.
• After three months of employment at the Clinic the employee should be fully capable of performing as a lab assistant.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood and collect specimens (blood, urine, nasal wash, throat).
• Process specimens according to lab procedures and log results.
• Perform EKGs and limited waived testing (strep, dipstick, pregnancy tests, IStat).
• Enter orders into the LIS/IDX lab computer and maintain quality control records.
• Provide patient instruction for at-home collections and assist with scheduling and receptionist duties.
• Travel to multiple locations as needed and comply with safety policies.
