Job description

Regions Hospital Laboratory is currently seeking a professional, quality-focused Laboratory Service Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Specimen collection.
2. Client service and reception desk duties, including ordering, scheduling, and billing functions.
3. Laboratory testing.
4. Phlebotomy and dispatching.
5. Specimen processing.
6. Centrifuging and delivery of specimens to the appropriate lab or department.
7. Ensuring proper efficiency and workflow management, including ECG tracings.

This position will also serve as a resource for questions from hospital and clinic staff regarding specimen handling and processing.

Work Schedule:

FTE: 0.5 (20 hours weekly), Day Shift, every 3rd weekend, rotating holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education, Experience, or Equivalent:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Healthcare experience including phlebotomy.
• Completion of a healthcare program (e.g., CMA, EMT, Paramedic, phlebotomy).

Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Phlebotomy certification is strongly recommended.
