Job summary

Blood Bank of Alaska is seeking a Laboratory Services Manager to oversee daily QC and donor testing operations, ensuring compliance with CLIA, AABB and FDA standards. You will supervise laboratory personnel and coordinate workflows within the Product Quality Control Laboratory.

The role requires MT/MLS qualifications, strong leadership, documentation discipline, and the ability to implement procedural changes efficiently in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of GDP, GLP and GMP.
• Strong writing and computer skills.
• Experience supervising laboratory staff and coordinating shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow of the laboratory.
• Maintain competency to perform laboratory processes and ensure adequate coverage.
• Schedule staff, including on-call coverage.
• Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary reviews.
• Review timesheets and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure safety and employee well-being; enforce SOPs.
