Job summary

ALS Group USA, Corp is seeking an administrative professional to receive and process samples for outside clients and field personnel. The role emphasizes accurate logging into the LIMS, maintaining sample integrity, and adhering to ALS procedures.

You will inspect containers, temperatures, and preservatives, then transport to storage and dispose of expired samples. A high degree of accuracy, teamwork, and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; B.S. in Chemistry or related field preferred.
• Detail oriented; accurately interpret and transcribe client chain of custody into the LIMS.
• Good typing and data entry skills.
• Familiarity with chemical symbols and general scientific terminology.
• Must communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to multi-task and work as part of a team.
• Learn new concepts quickly; basic knowledge of EPA methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Receive samples from outside clients and field personnel and inspect for proper containers, temperatures, preservatives, etc.
• Accurately log samples into the laboratory LIMS system.
• Transport samples to appropriate storage locations and dispose of expired samples.
• Perform other duties as assigned and directed.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, QA manual and ALS Client Service Manual.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct to ALS staff and clients.
