Job summary

California State University, Fresno is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist to support safety, facility management, and instructional services across multiple research labs. The role oversees lab compliance, equipment management, space allocation, and liaison work with PIs and technicians to enable joint research at JARC and other facilities.

The position also provides instructional support for undergraduate lab sections in Industrial Technology, Plant Science, Animal Science, Food

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
• 4 years of health and safety experience.
• 5 years of lab management or 10 years of lab-based research experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Embedded Safety Professional supporting OSHA compliance and lab policies.
• Manage JARC daily operations, onboarding researchers and space allocation.
• Oversee equipment inventory and liaise with external repair contractors.
• Provide instructional support for undergraduate lab sections and graduate courses as needed.
