Job summary

California State University, Fresno invites applications for an Embedded Safety Specialist in the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. The role supports OSHA compliance, facility management, and researcher onboarding across JARC, VERC, and related labs.

You will manage day-to-day use of the JARC facilities, oversee equipment in the management system, and advise on space allocation while collaborating with faculty researchers and external partners.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to 4 years of experience in health and safety.
• 5 years in laboratory management or 10 years of lab-based research.
• Preferred: Certified Safety Professional; Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician.

Responsibilities

• Support Embedded Safety Professional duties, developing policies and procedures for OSHA compliance.
• Manage JARC facilities daily use, onboarding researchers, tours, equipment in the management system.
• Provide instructional support for lab courses and facilitate research in the Graduate Laboratory.
