Job summary

SGS is seeking a detail-oriented lab/technical writer to review product labels for regulatory compliance and to create precise test reports in Word. You will interface with customer service and the technical team to ensure accuracy, while supporting lab operations with administrative tasks.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or scientific writing, plus experience with SOPs and high attention to detail. Strong MS Office and SharePoint skills are essential.

• Familiarity with SOPs.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Works well under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); SharePoint experience.

Responsibilities

• Review product labels for regulatory compliance.
• Complete accurate test reports in Microsoft Word, transcribing data from various locations.
• Interface with customer service and technical team to ensure testing and reporting accuracy.
• Support lab operations with administrative tasks.
• Review packaging and labeling requirements to ensure compliance.
• Create clear, accurate test reports and compare against client SOPs.
• Collaborate with technical team and lab managers to interpret findings.
• Translate technical information into clear, concise documents for layman.
• Compile and maintain documentation and records per procedures.
• Review reports for consistency, formatting, and completeness prior to approval.
• Assist in job tracking and file management.
