Job Overview

This position acts as a laboratory liaison, supporting diverse customers utilizing TriHealth services. Key responsibilities include:

• Accurate labeling, aliquoting, packaging, and specimen tracking within the laboratory system.
• Dispatching specimens to referral laboratories.
• Handling calls to facilitate lab services, address inquiries, and resolve issues.
• Ensuring compliance with guidelines through correct interpretation and transcription of orders and LIS/HIS entry.
• Procuring quality specimens from patients of all ages, following CLIA, JCAHO, and CAP standards.

Location

Good Samaritan Hospital, 375 Dixmyth Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45220

Work Hours

• Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly
• Evening shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Rotations for weekends and holidays

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Formal Phlebotomy Training and Certification
• Knowledge of laboratory terminology (preferred)
• Experience with specimen handling, data entry, Windows software, and familiarity with HIS and LIS systems
• 1-2 years hospital lab experience
