Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a full-time Lab Support Technician in the New York area to maintain supplies, manage reagents, and coordinate workflows across multiple sites. The role involves safe handling of lab materials, GDP-compliant documentation, and daily lab operations.

The ideal candidate holds a life sciences degree, demonstrates strong computer and organizational skills, and has excellent communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet physical demands including lifting 25 lbs. or more, standing for extended periods, and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and preparation of media.
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and/or cryogenic liquids.
• Cleaning and monitoring of controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSC).
• Use of electronic management systems for monitoring and documenting maintenance and calibration status of laboratory equipment.
• Coordinate workflows between multiple teams/departments using electronic systems.
• Manage paper lab notebook and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation.
• Complete tasks following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Assist in coordinating and executing reoccurring equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Participate in overtime and weekend schedule as required.
• Maintain lab spaces with cleanliness, organization, and labeling.

Job Description

• Maintaining laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and preparation of media
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases and/or cryogenic liquids.
• Cleaning and monitoring of controlled temperature units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets (BSC)
• Use of electronic management and tracking systems for monitoring and documenting routine maintenance and calibration status of laboratory equipment.
• Use of electronic systems to initiate and coordinate workflows between multiple teams/departments
• Management of paper lab notebook and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation
• Completion of all work and documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Assists in coordination and execution of reoccurring equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Participates in overtime and weekend schedule as required.
• Cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spaces in accordance with effective procedures.
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.
• Complete tasks listed above in laboratory areas that handle potent chemical compounds.
• Support of laboratory area located on multiple sites

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more, walking and standing for extended periods of time, pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Ability to independently commute between different site locations (< 5 miles between sites)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, first-shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed.
