Job summary

Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions seeks a Lab Technician in New York to maintain supplies, handle hazardous materials, and support GMP-compliant workflows across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences required.
• Strong computer and organizational skills essential.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to meet physical demands (e.g., lifting 25 lbs).
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Ability to commute between different site locations in the US.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory supplies, reagents inventory, and media preparation.
• Safe handling and movement of compressed gases or cryogenic liquids.
• Clean and monitor temperature-controlled units, fume hoods, and BSCs.
• Use electronic management and tracking systems for maintenance/calibration records.
• Coordinate workflows between multiple teams and departments.
• Manage paper lab notebooks and logbook records; reconciliation of entries.
• Follow GDP and complete all required trainings and retraining.
• Assist in coordinating and performing equipment maintenance/calibration.
• Be available for overtime and weekend shifts as required.
• Maintain lab spaces with proper labeling and organization.

• Completion of all work and documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Assists in coordination and execution of reoccurring equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Participates in overtime and weekend schedule as required.
• Cleaning, organization, and labeling of lab spaces in accordance with effective procedures.
• Complete all safety and procedural trainings and re-trainings.
• Complete tasks listed above in laboratory areas that handle potent chemical compounds.
• Support of laboratory area located on multiple sites

• Ability to meet physical demands including, but not limited to, routinely lifting objects of 25 lbs. or more, walking and standing for extended periods of time, pushing or pulling carts and equipment and bending down or reaching for supplies.
• Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Ability to independently commute between different site locations (
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, first-shift, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed.
