Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a System Manager for Laboratory Support Services to lead phlebotomy, specimen processing, and customer service operations at Swedish and Northwest Community Hospitals.

The role oversees scheduling, performance improvement, staffing, budgeting, and equipment/process enhancements to ensure high-quality lab services. Requires hospital experience and a supervisory background in lab settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Required.
• CPR-BLS Certification from AHA required.
• 5+ Years experience in a hospital setting required.
• 1 year supervisory or leadership experience with phlebotomy required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily work assignments of staff in phlebotomy, specimen processing, and customer service to maintain high quality standards.
• Coordinate staff schedules, monitor workflow, and address turn-around-times and specimen acceptability standards.
• Investigate and resolve staff and customer service issues with proper documentation and communication with Lab leadership.
• Develop departmental goals, budgets, and initiatives; monitor financial performance and cost efficiency.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and implement corrective actions as needed across lab support areas.
• Research and implement new instrumentation and processes; coordinate vendor meetings and provide technical support.
• Request system and database updates to ensure accurate test coding, reimbursement, and data integrity.
• Provide direction for QC activities and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements; maintain chemical inventories.
