Job summary

The Group Manager – Laboratory Operations will lead a high-performing team, align programs with strategic priorities, and ensure safe, efficient testing, certification, and risk-service support across FM Approvals.

• Advanced degree and substantial management experience in a technical lab environment.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple projects.
• Strong understanding of testing, certification, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead laboratory operations, ensuring safe, efficient testing and certification.
• Develop priorities, allocate resources, and manage budgets and schedules.
• Coach and develop staff, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with customers and industry partners to advance testing capabilities.
