Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Operations Coordinator at our Dayton, Ohio facility to support lab facility setups and maintain day-to-day operations.

You will implement established workflows, coordinate equipment installation, and work with facilities and contractors to ensure utilities and safety systems are in place. The role requires meticulous record-keeping, procurement support, and timely communication with scientists, engineers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 3+ years in lab operations or logistics.
• Knowledge of lab safety protocols and hazardous materials handling.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with scientists and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory records and monitor supply levels.
• Set up and install new laboratory equipment with contractors.
• Coordinate procurement, receive and return of equipment.
• Schedule preventive maintenance and clean equipment.
• Assist with initial lab safety orientation for new users.
• Prepare and ship hazardous and non-hazardous materials per guidelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams to support operations and resolve issues.
• Work Monday-Friday with occasional off-hours for emergencies.
